Obesity is posing a growing threat to da health of da world population.
In M'sia,5 in 10 adult Malaysians r now rated overweight or obese under da guidelines issued by da WHO (World Health Organisations).
Close to half of da M'sian adults r now overweight or obese under da BMI (Body Mass Index) guideline and they r at risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke.
ARE U OVERWEIGHT OR OBESE??
Below r 3 standards u can use to know if u r in da healthy weight range.
1. Know ur ideal Body Weight
Men : (Height (cm) - 80)* 0.7
Women : (Height (cm) - 70)* 0.6
-Normal : 10% higher than ideal body weight
-Overweight: 10% - 20% higher than ideal body weight
-Obese : more than 20% higher than ideal body weight
2. Body Mass Index (BMI)
BMI = weight (kg)

-Underweight : BMI Less than 18.5
-Normal : BMI 18.5 to 24.9
-Overweight : BMI 25 to 30
-Obese : BMI 30 to above
3. Body Fat Measurement (Measure Using Body Fat Analyzer)

Athletes : Women, 14 - 20% Men, 6 - 13%
